Interior Styling On New Purchase - Burleigh Heads Family Home
This residential interior styling project was a firm favourite for the Bungalow Interiors team. We have worked with the same client on previous homes, so their preferred style and needs are very familiar.
This new-build Burleigh Heads home celebrates the quintessential 'green to gold' resting against a rainforest backdrop, reaching toward sand and surf. A classically modern coastal style with white limed walls, sandstone, marble and stone features earthed by blonde floorboards and terrazzo tiles. Spaces are spectacularly grand, with curved lines and cavernous ceilings. We aimed to celebrate the height and scale while balancing proportions and adding warmth.
The most recent project prior to the new Burleigh Heads home, was a mansion renovation on Sovereign Island. Our client sold this property fully furnished and essentially required a nearly full furniture replacement with added interior 'personalisation'.
The entire family is well-travelled with young adult children and parents spread across Australia and throughout the world. This home serves as a sanctuary for them to all come together and completely relax. The essence of the design brief was for individual spaces connected with a warm, comfortable and effortless luxury. This was achieved with strategically placed and fabulously voluptuous furniture, anchored by plush oversized rugs and accentuated with layers of tactile fabric.
The colour palette celebrates the Gold Coast in Autumn - heralding rust, chocolate, ochre, soft mint, sage and sea mist. Each of the five ensuited bedrooms transformed into a cocooned sanctuary with a coherent selection of wallpaper applied as a full wrap to each, and extending beyond into communal areas.
'Bungalow Interiors were our first and only choice when we decorated our home. We love their design choices and left all of the decisions up to them. Their expertise, communication and knowledge of current design trends provided us with really appealing design solutions beyond anything that we could imagine. They were able to re-work some of our existing furniture into the mix, and still keep it looking fresh and fabulous. We would not hesitate to use them again and again, and again…..They are a great design team.'
