Bungalow Interiors Signature Style - Tasmanian Holiday Beach Home
A regular client (and dear friend) requested that we add the Bungalow touch to her new Tasmanian beach retreat.
The outcome of this project is quintessentially Bungalow Interiors, an embodiment of the studio’s signature style: relaxed coastal living infused with barefoot luxury, layered tactile materials, and a curated mix of organic, global, raw, refined, and artisan elements. Our client sought interior design and styling expertise to transform a somewhat bland, ‘greige’ residence into a warm and inviting beachfront sanctuary.
By artfully blending global influences, tribal aesthetics, and organic textiles, such as Eastern African mud cloth and natural linens, with thoughtfully curated European furniture and bespoke custom pieces, we created a richly unique and soulful interior. The resulting atmosphere honours the rugged beauty of the Tasmanian coastline while offering an enveloping sense of tranquility and retreat.

A full container was meticulously shipped from the Gold Coast to Tasmania, comprising an entirely new home fit-out: artisan wallpaper (Arte), handcrafted furniture including coffee tables, pendants, dining settings, beds, bedside tables, sofas, and mirrors (Uniqwa Collections), as well as rugs (Baya), vases and ornaments (The Foundry), curtains, and custom ottomans and cushions upholstered in Zinc fabrics. Our trusted tradespeople also travelled with us on installation day to professionally hang artwork, mirrors, curtains, and wallpaper.
This was a styling project orchestrated with precision from conception to completion. The final result is a breathtaking celebration of both craftsmanship and landscape, a home deeply connected to its extraordinary surroundings.
