A Beachside Holiday Apartment Palm Beach receives an Interior Makeover
This stunning beachfront apartment, nestled within the prestigious Jefferson Lane enclave of Palm Beach, serves as a cherished holiday retreat for a family with energetic teenagers. Remarkably, the planning, ordering, coordination, and installation were all executed via Zoom with our wonderful client, who resides in a much cooler rural region interstate.
Referred by a high-end real estate agent with whom we have collaborated on numerous executive properties, this styling project reflected our shared commitment to exceptional outcomes, a partnership that continues to be mutually rewarding. Our brief was to transform a dated interior and balcony into a classic expression of “barefoot resort-style luxury,” a hallmark of the Bungalow Interiors aesthetic.
In selecting furniture, wallpaper, rugs, and textiles for curtains, bed linen, and custom cushions, we remained acutely mindful of the environmental demands of beachfront living particularly salt exposure and coastal winds. We opted for robust, contemporary furniture featuring Tadelakt-style finishes reminiscent of rendered stone, complemented by oversized cushions and throws crafted from breathable natural fibres. Generously proportioned pieces for the balcony, living areas, dining space, and master bedroom, anchored by plush rugs enhanced the sense of spaciousness and refined comfort. The colour palette of sea mist, ivory, natural tan, and blonde timber further amplified the relaxed coastal ambience.
To complete the transformation, the entire three-bedroom apartment was enveloped in textured, washable vinyl wallpaper whose subtle design echoed and elevated the tropical beachfront setting.
The result is an effortlessly luxurious coastal haven, resilient, serene, and perfectly attuned to holiday living.
